Frequently asked questions
What is involved in each challenge?
Each challenge includes a passive section and active section. So you will be developing all 4 areas of your language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
Do I get feedback on my assignments?
The 7-Day Challenge is more about participating and staying in the active learning process rather than getting personalised feedback. However you do get shown multiple ways to get free feedback from a variety of different platforms. There is also a discussion forum built into this course platform and a video/audio entry section that Charlie highly encourages you to use at the end of each challenge to show how much effort you are putting into each challenge and to engage with your fellow challenge peers.
There will be 3 prizes to be won. 3rd place will win you lifelong access to Season 1 of The Academy (worth £75). 2nd prize will win you lifelong access to Season 1 & 2 of The Academy (worth £150) and the top prize is lifelong access to Season 1, 2 and 3 of The Academy (worth £225).
Can I get my money back if I don't like it?
Yes but as this is a 7-Day event you will need to ask for a refund within the first 2-3 days of the event being live. You can request a refund by simply emailing support@thebritishenglishpodcast.com and it will be given back no-questions-asked.
Will I like these challenges?
Charlie made “The 30-Day Challenge” back in 2017 and after 3-4 years of continued professional development he has decided to take it down and improve it. He took 2-3 of the best performing challenges from that course and combined them with his favourite ideas he’s ever given his private students between classes. These challenges are nothing like a “standard homework” your teacher sets you. They are highly stimulating tasks that will end up as conversation pieces amongst you and your friends in your native language.
Why did Charlie make this?
He wanted to boost his student’s motivation levels and create a chance for people to understand how to turn a passive task into active learning task.
